SEITZ RESIDENCE

The Seitz's wanted a new custom home on the mostly wooded 5-acre property they had purchased. The 4,000 s.f. home we designed is a refined rustic design with natural materials nestled into their site under old growth beech and walnut trees overlooking a deep ravine. The owners have even affectionately named their place the "Beech House".

The purposely understated exterior conceals a few unexpected surprises upon entering the front door where one is greeted head-on by a stone fireplace anchoring one end of a double high main family room with clerestory windows and a window wall with views to the deck and woods beyond.

A number of creature comforts like a master suite with laundry, reading lounge, cedar-lined clothes closet, and a master bath containing a glass block double-shower and claw foot tub, all warmed by radiant floor heating.

The modern kitchen serves both the family room for entertaining and the adjacent dining area for family meals, while a family office, craft room, powder room, and mud room lead the way to the oversized two and a half car garage.  The main fireplace continues down into the lower level family room complete with game and bar areas, while the rest of the lower level includes two more bedrooms, a full bath, a workshop.
